• The House Of Love Is A Visiting Site

The poem “The House Of Love, Is A Visting Site” is about love, memories, and the transformation that comes from letting go. It concludes that love is not a static house you possess, rather it is a journey, and holding onto a past friendship or relationship only causes damage and hurt to you, it talks about the power, peace and happiness you feel after letting go, and thriving, finally leaving the past but taking the memories with you.

I loved the poem, but a few lines struck straight at the heart,
“Maybe my presence was the poison,
Maybe I was the one blocking the sun.”
There’s accountability here without theatrics, neither crowning the speaker a villain nor a victim. Just an honest, human reckoning.
    “Leaving the house.
But taking a part of it with you…”
This resolves the central tension beautifully. I resonate deeply with this idea, that leaving something dear doesn’t mean leaving it broken or bitter, but intact and complete, carried forward in a different form.
It’s powerful and lingering, the kind of poem whose feeling stays with you long after the page is closed.
    💙💙
