• Layers of Fear

Title: Layers of FearMedium: Watercolour on PaperArtist: Aayati Description:Layers of Fear is my very first watercolour painting — a deeply personal exploration of emotion, vulnerability, and the inner self. Using layered tones of blue, the faceless form represents how fear often buries itself in quiet, hidden strata within us, rarely seen but deeply felt. Each ring within the figure’s head suggests a different stage or intensity of fear from surface unease to deeper, darker voids of anxiety and uncertainty. Created as an initial step into the world of watercolours, this piece was both a technical challenge and an emotional release. It marks the beginning of my journey with the medium, where each brushstroke taught me not just about paint — but about expressing the unseen.
